Duties, Responsibilities & Other

As a Marketing Intern, you'll gain hands-on, real-world experience working alongside a dynamic marketing team while learning about KCI and the AEC industry. You'll help create proposals and presentations across multiple service lines and see firsthand how marketing supports business development and drives revenue. This role is ideal for a student eager to learn in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You'll collaborate closely with marketing coordinators, content writers, and graphic designers, building practical skills in proposal development and marketing operations while contributing to high-impact pursuits that help win new work.

What You'll Learn

    How to navigate RFQ/RFPs and what it takes to build a winning proposal
  • The full proposal process, from kickoff meetings to final submission, by shadowing experienced marketing coordinators
  • How marketing teams collaborate with technical experts to shape strategy, messaging, and visuals
  • The basics of document layout and visual storytelling using tools like Adobe InDesign

What You'll Do

  • Help conduct background research and gather supporting materials to assist with drafting proposal content
  • Support updates to staff resumes and project descriptions used in high-profile marketing materials
  • Help organize and maintain project photos and images in the marketing collateral library
  • Keep marketing info accurate and up to date by entering data into the CRM system
  • Work sidebyside with content writers and graphic designers on day-to-day tasks and special projects
  • Get hands-on experience with proposals by helping prep, assemble, ship, and submit final deliverables

Qualifications

  • Pursuing degrees in the following fields: Business, Marketing, Communications, English, Graphic Design, or related fields
  • High School diploma
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Cumulative GPA: 2.75 or higher
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check is a condition of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
