  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.
  • Hybrid position with the expectation of being on-site at least one day per week as needed.
  • Serve as Residency Coordinator for approximately 20 urology residents and support medical students rotating within the department.
  • Provide administrative support to the Urology Residency Director.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills required; experience in event planning is a plus but not required.

Summary:
Serves as Graduate Medical Education Coordinator for various departments within the hospital and/or School of Medicine. Provides program support and coordination of activities surrounding compliance resident physician support. Works closely with UNC Hospitals Office of Graduate Medical Education regarding the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements.

Responsibilities:
1. Compliance/Documentation Support - Retrieves and provides reports and data about the program and the resident physicians that document compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's Institutional Compliance requirements, Residency Review Committee (specific) Program Requirements, and Common Program Requirements.
2. Program and Program Director (MD) support which includes activities that assure compliance and accreditation of program and includes entering and updating information about the program and resident physicians. The coordinator supports program meetings related to GME (agendas and minutes. etc).
3. Resident Physician Support- Assist with recruitment/interview activities (sets up interviews, arranges interviews, prepares materials for applicants, etc). Works closely with the Office of GME Specialists to appoint, reappoint, terminate, change resident appointment/training status includes providing documentation to initiate actions related to appointment/training status and any providing supporting documentation for appointment actions.
4. Supports the program director and/or Associate Chair of Administration as needed.
5. The coordinator works with OGME Specialist for institutional requirements (example Licenses) and arranges/schedules required activities at the program level (example Parking, ACLS). The coordinator also works with OGME to receive ongoing training and support.
6. Utilizes technology such as the Office of Graduate Medical Education web-based programs such as E*Value and AMION.

* Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* If a Bachelor's degree: No prior experience required.
* If an Associate's degree: Four (4) years of relevant experience.
* If a High School diploma or GED: Eight (8) years of relevant experience.
