Job Summary/Overview
The Accountant, Tax reports to the Manager, Tax. This role will be based at Columbus McKinnon Corporation global headquarters with a hybrid work schedule. The Accountant, Tax will support various income tax functions including tax compliance, tax provision computations, and tax planning initiatives. The Accountant, Tax will be a key member of the tax department as the Company continues to grow and evolve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In-house preparation, in OneSource Income Tax software, of the consolidated group's US federal and state income tax filings.
- Assist with the preparation, in OneSource Tax Provision, of the interim and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Prepare supporting workpapers and reconciliations.
- Aid in foreign informational reporting (Forms 5471, 8858).
- Assist with tax research including analysis of new tax laws and the potential impact on the Company.
- Correspond with the IRS and state departments of revenue regarding notices and audits.
- Collaborate with global business unit controllers to obtain then analyze relevant tax data.
- Actively participate in the building of a professional, proactive, responsive, technically strong tax organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Analytics required.
- Plans to pursue CPA license.
- Prior Tax experience preferred.
