Position Description

The System Integrator III position is responsible for integrating and managing multiple systems to support the Minneapolis Public Works Department. This role ensures seamless connectivity between fleet applications such as M5 Fleet Focus, Graco Pulse Pro, EV chargers, motor pool system, telematics platforms, and third-party systems like Traka, Verizon Reveal, and Geotab. Key responsibilities include system configuration and upgrades, troubleshooting, data analysis, and developing reports and dashboards to deliver actionable insights. The position plays a critical role in optimizing technology solutions, advancing sustainability goals, and enhancing overall fleet performance. Work Location This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work with some days working remotely and some days working in the office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Staff Support / Systems
- Manage maintain, coordinate EV charging infrastructure, M5, Graco Pulse, Geotab, Motor Pool system integrations with vehicle fleet management and telematics systems.
- Develop, and monitor automated workflows to streamline system integration processes.
- Assist staff with a variety of needs including troubleshooting, providing and maintaining documentation, resources, and trainings.
- Support and troubleshoot wired, wireless and VPN connectivity issues.
- Support interfaces between Fleet and Financial systems, stop, schedule and start. interfaces and troubleshoot with Finance and Peoplesoft support personnel.
- Provide technical guidance on a variety of systems and tools needed to accomplish our work.
- Research and configure solutions to solve business issues using out of the box tools and third-party add-ons, as required.
- Run SQL statements in SQL Developer and Access queries on Fleet system tables to resolve application issues.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from integrated systems to identify trends, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Planning for replacement of hardware/software, application licenses, subscriptions and maintaining replacement schedules.
- Assist with RFP development, providing technical expertise as needed.
- Document business processes and systems in a prescribed manner to ensure continuity of systems and operations.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent specialized training and/or experience.
Minimum Experience Three years of relevant computer experience providing computer and applications support.
Equivalency An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position may be considered. Desirable qualifications Ability to relate and work effectively with people from diverse cultural, economic and ethnic backgrounds. Selection Process The selection process will consist of one or more of the following steps: a rating of relevant education and experience and/or an oral examination (100%). It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess. This information will be used to determine which candidates will proceed in the selection process. A submitted application is also used to verify the answers to any supplemental questions. Only those candidates who attain a passing score (70%) on each step in the selection process will be placed on the eligible list. The City of Minneapolis Human Resources Department reserves the right to limit the number in any phase of the selection process. Background Check The City has determined that a criminal background check and/or qualifications check may be necessary for certain positions with this job title. - Ability to develop and conduct training for a variety of systems utilizing a variety of mediums.
- Ability to test and document changes/modifications made in the system.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects with varying requirements.
- Knowledge of SQL Developer, Access ODBC, M5 FleetFocus, Traka Key and Service Now systems software helpful.
