Your Opportunity:Travel Tags, a Taylor Company, is seeking an Equipment Operator to join the team! This role will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of advanced packaging machinery. This role requires a high level of expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills. The Equipment Operator will ensure production goals are met while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage complex packaging machinery, ensuring efficient operation and minimal downtime.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of equipment issues, coordinating with maintenance teams as necessary.

  • Optimize machinery settings to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

  • Train and mentor new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations.

  • Lead team efforts to achieve production goals, ensuring all members are aligned and informed.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions from team members.

  • Provide detailed reports to the Production Supervisor or Operations Manager regarding equipment performance, production outcomes, and any operational challenges.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of machine performance, maintenance activities, and production metrics.

  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations, including DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all departmental and company procedures.

  • Ensure all team members utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately.

  • Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking.

  • Ability to setup of equipment for new products and the most complex projects.

  • Materials management - request materials required to maintain productivity.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for department equipment, processes, policies, and practices.

  • Uphold the core values of Travel Tags, Inc. by promoting a positive workplace culture and ensuring high-quality production standards.

Your Shift - 2:00pm -10:30pm, Monday - Friday

You Must Have:

  • Strong mechanical and technical skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex machinery.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required.

  • Willingness to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements Within This Position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand

  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position

  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials

  • Frequently required to move inside the facility

  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Ability to distinguish colors

  • Experience in a production related environment

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18 - $23. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
