Mercy - St. Louis \| Roles: Patient Care Associate (PCA), Nurse Tech, Patient Transporter, Medical Assistant At Mercy, our coworkers bring to life a healing ministry through compassionate care and exceptional service-and we invite caring, teamoriented individuals to support our patients during highvolume seasons in several frontline roles Position Details: Role Highlights Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED Patient Care Associate (PCA) What you'll do: Under RN/LPN direction, assist with vitals, meals, bathing, toileting, safe ambulation/mobility, and patient transport; perform designated clinical and nonclinical tasks after competency. Nurse Tech (NT) What you'll do: Support bedside care with vitals, ADLs, mobility/transport, and unitapproved skills such as phlebotomy/blood cultures, enteral feeding, wound care, IV/Foley removal, trach suctioning, ostomy care, wound vacs, and NG management/removal (after competency). Patient Transporter What you'll do: Safely transport patients and equipment between departments using proper body mechanics; maintain equipment PAR levels; track moves in Epic to ensure accurate routing and throughput. Medical Assistant (MA) - Clinic/Outpatient What you'll do: Support providers with direct/indirect patient care-room patients, obtain vitals/histories, assist with exams/procedures, document in the EHR, and help coordinate fronttoback clinic flow per protocol and scope.
