Description
This role designs and drives enterprise-wide talent programs. Partnering closely with Human Resources, executive, and business leaders, this role sets the framework and tools that guide consistent execution. Key responsibilities include overseeing performance management, leadership development, succession and workforce planning, and internal talent marketplace, while fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties
  • Lead the design of enterprise talent management programs, including talent assessment tools and strategies, gap analysis programs, and high potential talent development plans.
  • Build and design the enterprise succession planning framework, defining processes, tools, and criteria used to assess readiness and identify successors for critical roles.
  • Collaborative with HR Business Partners, Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD), and Talent Acquisition to design the organization's internal talent mobility framework, creating tools and processes that enable employees to explore development opportunities and career pathways.
  • Partner closely with HR partners (HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, L&OD, Belonging & Engagement) to ensure programs are well-designed, integrated, and set up for successful execution by the partners responsible for implementing them.
  • Translate business strategy into people strategies that are practical, scalable, and aligned with the credit union's mission and values.
  • Ensure strategic alignment and execution of situational learning programs and initiatives including job shadowing, mentoring, and rotational programs in partnership with L&OD.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives that improve productivity, clarify roles, and optimize structures, processes, and decision-making.
  • Oversee strategic workforce planning in partnership with HR, Finance, and business leaders that supports growth and operational excellence.
  • Leverage people analytics, industry insights, and emerging talent trends to inform datadriven talent decisions, develop dashboards and metrics that measure organizational health and program effectiveness, and evaluate the impact of talent and efficiency initiatives.
  • Continuously refine programs to reflect the evolving needs of a large, distributed financial services organization.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the team by setting clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with enterprise HR and talent objectives.

Essential Skills
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of experience designing and leading enterprise-wide talent and organizational initiatives in a complex, multi-location organization, 6+ years as a People Leader.
  • Proven experience designing and leading enterprise-wide talent and organizational initiatives in a complex, multi-location organization.
  • Strong background in leadership development, succession planning, and talent management
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive change without direct authority.
  • Experience using people analytics and data to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Experience in financial services, credit unions, or highly regulated industries preferred
  • Certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience supporting large, geographically distributed workforces
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | (HYBRID)
Target Compensation: $170k - $190k annually + annual bonus
