This role drives yield improvement, defect reduction, process integration, and technology transfer from development into high-volume manufacturing. The position requires strong cross-functional leadership, deep technical expertise in wafer fabrication, and a data-driven approach to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development & Integration

  • Lead integration of unit processes across the full wafer fabrication flow (lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, implant, anneal, metrology, and test).

  • Develop and optimize process modules to meet device performance, reliability, and yield targets.

  • Define process windows, control strategies, and critical-to-quality parameters.

  • Support new technology introduction (NTI) and transfer to manufacturing.

Yield Improvement & Defect Reduction

  • Drive root-cause analysis using SPC, DOE, FMEA, Pareto, and statistical modeling.

  • Lead yield-enhancement programs and defect-reduction initiatives across the fab.

  • Partner with failure analysis and reliability teams to close learning loops.

  • Establish sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

Manufacturing Support

  • Provide technical ownership for excursion response, disposition, and recovery.

  • Maintain process documentation, specifications, and change control.

  • Support cycle-time, cost-of-ownership, and productivity improvements.

  • Collaborate with equipment engineering on tool qualification and matching.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with design, product, quality, reliability, and operations teams.

  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians.

  • Communicate technical findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Participate in customer technical reviews when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years of semiconductor wafer fabrication experience in process or integration engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of CMOS, power, photonics, MEMS, or advanced packaging technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience with SPC, DOE, yield analysis, and defect characterization.

  • Hands-on experience with major fab process areas (etch, deposition, lithography, implant, CMP, metrology, etc.).

  • Proven track record of solving complex manufacturing or yield problems.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Additional Qualifications (Not Required):

  • Master's or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.

  • Experience with MEMS, photonics, or advanced nodes.

  • Background in high-volume manufacturing and technology transfer.

  • Familiarity with MES, APC, and data-analytics tools.
