You Are:

UST is searching for a Solution Architect who will design and maintain target state AWS cloud, hybrid, and AI enabled architectures for enterprise and Digital Experience (DX) applications, including network, compute, storage, IAM, monitoring, AI/ML services, and Dev/Test/Prod environment patterns.

The opportunity:

* Design end to end Digital Experience (DX) solution architectures, covering web, mobile, API, integration, and AI/ML augmentation layers (e.g., personalization, recommendations, intelligent search, chatbots), ensuring scalability, performance, resiliency, and seamless user experience.

* Define AWS VPC, subnet segmentation, and IP planning, including routing, firewall, and private connectivity requirements, to support secure hybrid connectivity, DX platform integrations, and AI/ML workloads such as data ingestion, model inference, and real time decisioning.

* Develop and standardize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns and deployment pipelines, supporting cloud onboarding, DX application delivery, and AI/ML platform components (e.g., model deployment, inference endpoints, feature services) using repeatable and governed implementations.

* Produce required architecture and onboarding artifacts for cloud, DX, and AI/ML implementations, including CCoE intake, Infosec intake, data governance alignment, DevOps/MLOps readiness, and operational readiness documentation.

* Embed security by design and compliance into AWS, DX, and AI/ML solutions, including IAM role design, authentication and authorization, data protection, least privilege access, secure API design, model access controls, and protection of sensitive training and inference data.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

* Experience:

* 8-12 years total IT experience

* 5+ years designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions

* 3+ years working with hybrid cloud architectures

* 2-4 years exposure to AI/ML-enabled solutions

* Strong experience delivering customer-facing Digital Experience (DX) platforms

* This is a hands-on senior technical leader, not just a strategist.

* Architect should have the skills required to deliver the tasks described in the job description

* Technical Skills:

* Amazon Web Services, including VPC architecture, hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway), compute (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda), storage (S3, EBS, EFS), IAM, observability, and cost optimization.

* Proficient in API-first and microservices-based Digital Experience architectures, integrating web, mobile, and real-time services with strong performance and security controls.

* Working knowledge of AI/ML enablement-including model deployment, inference patterns, data pipelines, and monitoring-using services such as Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock. Strong capabilities in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), DevOps/MLOps practices, and security-by-design principles are essential to deliver governed, production-ready cloud and AI-enabled platforms.

* Web and mobile front-end integrations, API-first and microservices architecture, API gateways and secure API design, Event-driven patterns, CDN and edge optimization, Integration with personalization and recommendation engines, Real-time user decisioning patterns

* Soft skills:

* Strong stakeholder communication.

* Ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical leaders

* Cross-team coordination (platform, data, DevOps, DX teams)

* Hands-on technical credibility

* Clear documentation and diagramming skills

* Risk and tradeoff articulation

* Education:

* Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or Equivalent

* Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Architecture-related field



Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range : $92,000-$138,000



Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
