About this Role:

We are looking for a Talent Effectiveness Operations Manager who combines strong business acumen with practical project management skills to drive strategic results via talent, analytics, and people-related projects for Gartner's HR organization. This role contributes to the organization by addressing our HR mission-critical priorities-such as improving employee retention and engagement, developing a strong leadership pipeline, driving business results through talent management, and boosting new hire productivity.

The Talent Effectiveness Operations Manager will interact with peers and senior leadership within and outside of HR, gaining broad exposure to key strategic talent initiatives. This position requires a balance of rigorous, organized, and pragmatic project management, analytical requests, strategic problem solving, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will proactively support HR leadership by owning operational and tactical tasks, enabling leaders to focus on larger enterprise-wide projects.

What you will do:

  • Partner with the wider Talent Effectiveness organization and their leaders to drive and support the implementation of key client-facing programs that drive business outcomes

  • Drive rigorous, end-to-end, project management and organization across multiple projects, including scoping, planning, implementation, aftercare

  • Indirectly lead a team of global, cross-functional project members, holding them accountable to delivery while simultaneously motivating and fostering a strong team culture

  • Support productivity of the Talent Effectiveness and HRP organizations on the launch of new initiatives, process improvements while project managing key initiatives across both organizations to implement across the business

  • Create and maintain rigorous structure to keep project team organized including shared drives, project plans, meeting cadences, leadership and stakeholder presentations and communications.

  • Partner with People Analytics partners and other Talent Effectiveness team members to deliver on business requests, while proactively surfacing issues and identifying solutions

  • Analyze/synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into compelling "executive level" analysis and presentations

  • Build and leverage scalable, repeatable playbooks that are tailored to meet the unique business needs

  • Engage and collaborate with our business partners - within and outside of HR - to drive execution against strategic priorities and maintain alignment

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Talent Effectiveness organization and help own the end-to-end creation and delivery

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 5-7+ years' experience in Human Resources, HR Business Partner, Talent Management, or Project/Program Management.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand and align with organizational strategy and goals.

  • Proven ability to apply practical, result-driven project management across multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Experience supporting senior leaders independently managing delegated tasks and operational initiatives.

  • Unstructured problem solver - able to work in ambiguity and develop sustainable solutions to complex business issues.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with clearly documented systems for managing multiple tasks, projects, and initiatives simultaneously.

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills for executive-level storytelling and data analysis.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive self-starter who anticipates needs, takes initiative, and knows when to seek guidance.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 86,000 USD - 118,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
