Your role

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the Medical Engineering Group by contributing to the design, testing, and development of critical components and systems used in our medical technology portfolio. Under the guidance of mentors Jon Youngblood, Paul Schneider, and Elliot Martin, the intern will engage in handson engineering work that strengthens technical capability, encourages creative problemsolving, and builds realworld industry experience.

Key Projects and Responsibilities Include:



  • Air and vacuum base design
  • Highvoltage protection development
  • Customer drawing creation for Class 1 Air systems
  • CRN testing and setup
  • TA360 alarm billofmaterials (BOM) generation
  • Test stand design for Mk5, MSV, and alarm syste


To succeed, you will need

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational institution.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company assistance.
  • Have their own housing - no housing will be provided with this internship.
  • Must be a rising junior or senior within their program of study.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and show initiative.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities.

Job location

This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Rock Hill, SC. You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.

The internship program runs from June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
