Description
| Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Ensures the company adheres to local, state, and federal regulations regarding motor vehicle compliance. Executes and carries out the license and titling program for MDU Utilities Group. Monitors and evaluates DOT and ANSI inspections, as well as being responsible for timely reporting and submission of DOT fleet reporting including IRP, IFTA, OR PUC, 2290 tax form maintenance, UCR, FMCA, and other applicable DOT updates. Responsible for record maintenance of all compliance documentation including new registrations, titles, renewals, inspections, and related records. Prepares and submits requests for checks and related documentation to internal departments. |
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- Must possess a working knowledge of compliance, accounting, or DOT experience at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate's degree in a business or office related discipline or equivalent experience
- Two years' work experience in related field.

- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS |
- Prior DOT/DMV related experience.
- JDE or other enterprise accounting systems experience.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Lead role in executing on the licensing, registration, and title administration during initial fleet purchases, transfers, renewals, and disposals required in all states of operation of the Utility Group.
- Assemble and prepare licensing packets and all required information for sending to remote DMV office locations for licensing of fleet assets. Ensuring timely turnaround, communication, and delivery to end users.
- Maintains the MDU Utilities Group IRP Apportionment and IFTA Fuel Tax licensing program, including registration, renewal, tracking, and reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensures compliance with FMCA, DOT, DMV, OSHA, and ANSI regulations that directly affect the fleet and potential operators. Regulations include both Federal and those in the state operating service territories of the Utility company.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
