Overview

Reporting to the Head of Finance, International Fee Businesses, this role will focus on implementing and managing rigorous processes and approved internal controls to ensure the complete, accurate and timely processing of financial transactions through ERP systems in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting policies. Working closely with MGA management, Operations and Compliance supporting their financial data needs and acting as their Finance business partner.Partner with the FP&A team to ensure relevant and accurate financial reporting is provided to the business and external parties.



Responsibilities

    Comply with ANV group's reporting calendar in producing complete, accurate, timely and auditable processing of transactions for entities under your remit including:
    • Premium/claims related entries and non-technical journals (accruals, prepayments, provisions, corporate tax, payroll, statutory adjustments, deferred income, stock, equity, etc.) and related reconciliations
    • Intercompany bookings, reconciliations and settlements
    • Prepare Balance sheet validation/substantiation process and back-up support identifying and resolving issues affecting the integrity of the ledger
    • Maintain secondary ledgers for local reporting requirements
  • Produce and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP
  • Attend executive committee, Directors and Board meetings as necessary for assigned entities
  • Support cash forecasting, credit control, dividend calculation and financing needs
  • Responsible for understanding, documenting and improving processes and controls affecting financial data within policy admin systems
  • Coordinate financial audits as needed
  • Complete financial related reporting to regulators
  • Support MGA leadership team in completing planning templates
  • Prepare management accounts, variance analysis, forecasts and KPIs using FP&A driven templates
  • Comply with ANV group procedures, policies and regulations as relevant to remit
  • Support other local MGA teams as requested by Head of Finance
  • Ensure you complete all mandatory and job specific training requirements in line with the required time frames.
  • Other duties may be assigned in order to meet the on-going needs of the organisation


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred

Experience

  • Insurance intermediary industry experience (i.e., MGA, brokerage, agency)
  • Public accounting experience
