What to Expect

We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. To help build, maintain, and improve reliable data pipelines that power analytics around vehicle service, maintenance, repair, warranty, and collision events. You'll work in a collaborative environment using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Apache Iceberg, relational databases (Vertica, SQL Server, MySQL), and visualization with Tableau.


What You'll Do
  • Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelinesusing Apache Airflowto orchestrate workflows
  • Write Spark(PySpark or Scala) jobs for data transformation, cleansing, and aggregation
  • Work with Apache Icebergtables for reliable, ACID-compliant data lake storage and schema evolution
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and transformations in Vertica, SQL Server, and MySQL
  • Help implement incremental data loading patterns and CDC (change data capture) processes
  • Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability & performance
  • Participate in data quality checks and documentation of pipelines and data flows
  • Support Tableau dashboard developers by ensuring clean, well-structured data is available
  • Learn modern data engineering best practices and gradually take on more complex tasks

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundation in SQL(writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries)
  • Solid understanding of Python(used heavily with Spark and Airflow)
  • Basic knowledge of ETL/ELTconcepts and data pipeline patterns
  • Familiarity with at least one major relational database (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Eagerness to learn big data technologies and modern data lake formats

    Expected Compensation
    $120,000 - $180,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
