SummaryIn this role, you will have the opportunity to apply and advance your knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting. You will be responsible for equity based transactions (ASC 505 & 718), debt transactions (ASC 470), lease transactions (ASC 842), and other accounting issues as they arise. This role will also be a key member in planning, managing, and executing the financial reporting process. This includes ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and SEC regulations. Additionally, this role will be responsible for various monthly close activities, primarily related to the aforementioned transactions, and own both preparation and review of various types of account reconciliations. In this role, you will be seen as a process innovator within the organization and recognized for the valuable insights you are able to bring to the technical accounting and reporting teams.

The ideal person for this position will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, lease accounting, and excellent technical and communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively across business functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead in driving the approach to maintain ASC 842 compliance along with other accounting procedures

    • Ensure compliance with USGAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and Corporate policy and procedures

    • Responsible for various aspects of the month-end close process ensuring that all deadlines and cutoffs are adhered to

    • Monitorchanges inSEC regulationsand update reporting processes as necessary.

    • Collaboratewith finance, legal, and accounting teams to prepare10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings.

    • Preparesupporting schedules and documentation forSEC filings.

    • Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee potential accounting issues and recommend practical solutions associated with contemplated business transactions.

    • Implement and operate systems around lease accounting

    • Point of contact with external auditors regarding job-related matters

    • Must be able toworka variable schedule, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.

Keys to Success:

    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

    • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

    • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and facilitate the implementation of corrective action

    • High standard of ethics discipline and professionalism

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills

    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

    • Minimum 2-4+ years of relevant experience with emphasis in technical accounting in Leases at a publicly-traded company as a plus

    • Strong functional knowledge of U.S. GAAP and other regulatory requirements, with SEC experience, preferred

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent education requirements.

    • CPA preferred

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
