Your Opportunity as theSenior Coordinator, Quality Assurance

This role plays a critical role in protecting product quality, environmental compliance, and employee safety by owning the operation of the wastewater treatment plant and leading the sanitation program endtoend. It directly impacts regulatory compliance, plant readiness, and uninterrupted production while serving as the key liaison with the City of Oxnard and internal partners across Quality, HSE, Maintenance, and Operations.

Work Arrangements:100% Onsite, flexible schedule

In this role you will:

  • Compile and file monthly reports and required letters to the City of Oxnard Wastewater Division.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all procedures in the Sanitation Program.
  • Supervise the maintenance and adequate cleanup of all processing equipment, and all facilities including lunch areas and bathrooms.
  • Maintain plant sanitation program.
  • Responsible for the operation of our wastewater plant in accordance with our Industrial wastewater discharge permit
  • Prevents incidents by recognizing physical and behavioral hazards and taking corrective action.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources department in promoting safety and help instruct during safety meetings.
  • Manage the environmental monitoring program.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
  • Maintain all sanitation related documentation
  • Act as liaison with City of Oxnard Wastewater Division Supervisor when visiting facility.
  • Maintain an adequate tool and supply inventory.
  • Ensure proper chemical concentrations are being used and document tests.
  • Revision and actualization of all sanitation program procedures.
  • Investigates and documents incidents thoroughly and timely (as soon as possible /on the same day it occurs.)
  • Conduct pre shift checks on processing lines
  • Maintain a safety program to assure proper handling of chemicals, use of protective equipment, and safe work habits.
  • Coordinate chemical and waste disposal deliveries.
  • Participate in weekly status meetings with manager and supervisory staff.
  • Own and lead safety Key Element programs.
  • Ability to lead or assist in continuous improvement projects.
  • Creation of Standard Operating Procedures for wastewater treatment plant.
  • Supervise the proper and adequate disposal of waste and garbage.
  • Coordinate outside lab sampling schedule to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate maintenance, repair, and cleaning activities in the wastewater area with mechanics and sanitation crew.
  • Manage Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
  • Calibrate measurement instrumentation
  • Be willing to cross-train in production quality and food safety.

What we are looking for:

MinimumRequirements:

  • Associates Degree in related field OR Experience in a manufacturing or wastewater environment
  • Some college coursework in a water science program, or water science certificate preferred.

Additionalskills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

  • Must be willing to work Saturdays (and occasionally Sunday) during the processing season to support special projects.
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • Flexible to work weekends
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Possess communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Understanding of wastewater treatment basics.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Requires extensive walking and standing.
  • Wastewater Coordinator may sit to do some paperwork in the WWTP office, but most of the time will be overseeing the WW system and sanitation process to make sure production runs without interruption.
  • Required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

California Specific Salary Range

58,500 - 81,950

This role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan and Holiday bonus
