Posting Title Information Technology Manager Department Overview The Department of Computer Science in the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science is highly ranked and especially known for its work in computer systems, cyberphysical systems, cybersecurity, software engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. The department consists of approximately 68 tenured/tenure-track and instructional faculty and is located in Rice Hall, featuring state-of-the-art physical and computational infrastructure. Position Summary The Department of Computer Science seeks an Information Technology Manager to provide leadership and management of its computing services group. The computing services group supports the Department's instructional and research mission. This includes networking, desktop and server computing, filesystems, storage, laboratory configuration, and overall computing facility operations. The IT Manager serves as the liaison to the broader UVA computing community and is responsible for ensuring departmental compliance with UVA security policies. Minimum Qualifications for Systems and Network Administration Management
Minimum Qualifications for Information Technology Management Education: GED/High School Graduate required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline preferred. Experience: Four years experience in IT related field.
