What to Expect Powertrain High Voltage Design & Integration team is responsible for cross functional optimization of Tesla vehicle powertrain hardware implementation. Team members are expected to utilize their physics fundamentals, hardware optimization thinking, simulation tools and common sense to facilitate multi-objective optimization and communicate performance expectations, component requirements to various teams. This role involves collaboration with system architecture, engineering, manufacturing, reliability, service, safety, finance, and compliance teams. Requires the ability to distill highly technical information and effectively communicate with other teams and management. What You'll Do Identify and proposes optimal functionality distribution to each component to achieve system goals Lead system level hardware implementation optimization, closely collaborating with hardware, firmware reliability, service, safety, and manufacturing engineers to navigate the tradeoffs of all options Own development of component requirements, captures regulatory and internal performance, safety requirements. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
