Responsibilities

Waste Water Coordinator

Full-Time Day Shift: Monday - Friday

Hourly Pay Rate Based on Skills and Experience

  • Develops an understanding of water train from entry into plant through final disposal to Municipal treatment system
  • Responsible for compliance with wastewater regulatory permits

  • Works in conjunction with production and maintenance personnel to maximize water use efficiency

  • Directs the operation and maintenance of pretreatment plant systems and equipment

  • Coordinate sludge disposal, chemical/supplies purchases and maintenance activities

  • Assures the effective testing of wastewater and recording of results

  • Maintains data management for treatment systems (water consumption, treatment efficiencies, sludge production, chemical usage)

  • Maintains relationships with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies including chemical suppliers, sludge haulers/users, municipal officials

  • Develop strategies for the improvement of treatment processes and equipment to economically meet effluent requirements as defined in discharge permit

Qualifications

  • Previous wastewater experience preferred but not required. Certification a plus.
  • Ability to manage complex issues while only referring the most difficult problems to higher-level staff.

  • Excellent scientific, analytical, and diagnostic aptitude.

  • Must have a mechanical aptitude for understanding and maintaining system equipment.

  • Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely in varying climatic conditions.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and make calculated decisions.

  • Alternating working on off shifts or weekends as required.
