Position Summary

Assist in location quality assurance activities that support customers, production, and process improvement of the business unit. Be a driving force for continuous improvement for the facility while working with all levels of the organization. Interns will be provided with training and mentorship that will translate to real-world skills and experiences. 20 - 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting in Quality Lab performing several key functions to meet customer/market needs.

  • Assist in Gage Calibration including maintaining records and review of out of tolerance results.
  • Perform Measurement Anaysis Studies to determine process capabilty of inspection instruments.
  • Perform Gauge Repeatablity and Reproducablity studies
  • Assist is evaluating process capabilty and statical analysis.
  • Assist in problem solving to determine root cause of rejected materials & in process products.
  • Support AS9100 fuctions and assist in audits.
  • Support QA lab with documentation as required.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
  • Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Quality Assurance
    • At minimum, an Undergraduate student entering their Junior year
  • Ability to work MS Office experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently

  • High level Blueprint reading and technical report writing skills
  • Working knowledge of GD&T preferred
  • Working knowledge of process capability (Cpk), MSA, and PPAP preferred
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement preferred
