Position Summary: The Information Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring and supporting the organization's security tools, responding to alerts, remediating tickets, and assisting in the protection of enterprise systems. This professional works closely with System and Security Engineering teams to ensure a secure and resilient environment. The Information Security Analyst supports technologies such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM,) vulnerability scanners, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)/antimalware solutions, and email/web security platforms.

Essential Functions

Security Monitoring & Response



  1. Monitor SIEM, EDR, and other security tools for alerts and suspicious activity.
  2. Triage, prioritize, and document security events following established procedures.
  3. Escalate incidents appropriately and provide detailed investigative notes.
  4. Assist in validating and remediating security alerts.


Security Operations Support



  1. Assist with vulnerability scanning and validation of remediation efforts.
  2. Support hardening and security baselines through documentation review and basic checks.
  3. Assist with firewall processes (e.g., validating rule changes under guidance).
  4. Participate in oncall rotation for escalated security issues.


Collaboration & Documentation



  1. Work collaboratively with the System, Network, and Security Engineering teams.
  2. Contribute to policies, procedures, training materials, and security documentation.
  3. Maintain accurate records for audits, compliance, and incident tracking.


General Responsibilities



  1. Deliver excellent service to internal customers and uphold bank policies and standards.
  2. Maintain awareness of cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.



  1. Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls as required.



  1. Report on all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  2. Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
  3. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.


Qualifications:



  1. At least 1 year of experience in IT or security (e.g., IT Technician, System Administrator, Security Analyst).
  2. Valid Nebraska Driver's License.
  3. Strong willingness and ability to learn quickly.


Preferred Talents:



  1. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  2. Organized and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
  3. Effective communicator with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  4. Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools.
  5. Familiarity with cloud security operations.
  6. Industry certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA, Microsoft Security certifications).


Working Environment:

Primarily indoor office environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.

Medium physical workload: lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs. frequently; up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

Some travel is required.

This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.
