Responsibilities Warehouse Receiving Supervisor Dayton, Ohio The Warehouse Receiving Supervisor position is responsible for the efficient coordination of team members aiming to maintain the efficiency of receiving, storing, testing, inventory and shipping products in a continuous improvement-based environment, while also creating and maintaining a safe work environment. This is to be accomplished through directing and monitoring the activities of employees; effective leadership, coaching and development of individuals; and through building team dynamics targeting receiving, storing, testing, inventory and shipping techniques. Supervises and monitors the activities of employees working in all Manufacturing Warehouse Areas Ensures that behaviors, practices and the work environment support a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principles Ensures and monitors receiving, storage and distribution efficiency Utilizes metrics/data to evaluate and improve Receiving, Storage and Distribution methods/standards Inspects Receiving and Material Storage processes to detect defects or malfunctions Develops and implements receiving, storing, inventory and distribution improvement plans Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet performance standards Translates schedules to receiving, storing, and distribution requirements Utilizes standard work processes to ensure repeatable performance Monitors goals and levels to make sure they are consistent with performance standards Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments Tracks employees' work performance and attendance to ensure performance metrics are met Directs employees involved in the receiving, material storage, inventory and distributing processes Recognize what to do in the event of an injury or incident Plans, develops, and implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities Ensures that behaviors, practices and the work environment support a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principles.
