Here's what it takes to succeed with us.

• Know commercial kitchen operations, food safety procedures, and school nutrition program standards.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Prepare and serve nutritious breakfast and lunch meals.
• Accurately process student meal transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash in compliance with district procedures.
• Record food production and usage while interpreting daily production schedules to ensure proper portion control and minimize waste.
• Monitor meal pattern requirements and maintain accurate meal count documentation for compliance reporting.
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards, including proper chemical handling and safe kitchen practices.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dish room areas, sinks, stoves, ovens, utensils, serving counters, tables, and floors.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, power wash sinks, and pot sinks safely and efficiently.
• Follow assigned work schedules and cleaning protocols as directed by the Cafeteria Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Perform additional food service and kitchen support duties as assigned.
