Position Summary
The Clinical Pharmacist, Oncology provides specialized pharmaceutical care to support the safe, effective, and evidence-based treatment of oncology patients. This role interprets, evaluates, verifies, and dispenses medication orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy, identifies and resolves potential medication-related concerns in collaboration with prescribers, and reviews the accuracy of medications prepared by pharmacy support personnel. The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a medication expert by providing drug information, educating patients and caregivers on oncology therapies, completing medication history documentation, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, this position supervises pharmacy support personnel to ensure medications are prepared and distributed in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and the highest standards of oncology patient care. Education:
Schedule: M-F 8-hour shift. Primarily days with rotating every fourth weekend The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
