As a Security Officer - Gate Access Specialist in Hardeeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control by greeting drivers and visitors, checking credentials and badges, logging entries, and supporting orderly traffic at gates and checkpoints. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols nearby, and communicate clearly to help reduce security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Operate access control at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining logs, and directing individuals to approved locations.
• Control vehicle and trailer access for a logistics and distribution location by checking shipments, seals, and paperwork as required, coordinating with shipping and receiving, and helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, and perimeter, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through required reports and/or systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
