Join Laerdal Medical as a Technical Product Repair Specialist Intern and play a key role in supporting the technology that helps save lives. During this internship, you'll gain
real-world experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing advanced
medical simulation equipment used by healthcare professionals around the world.
You'll work alongside a knowledgeable, supportive team, learn industry-standard
processes, and contribute directly to improving the quality and reliability of
life-saving training tools.

This is a great opportunity for
students who enjoy problem-solving, are mechanically or technically inclined,
and want to make a meaningful impact in healthcare technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing technical issues with medical equipment through systematic troubleshooting methods on hardware and software.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Learn and perform repairs on a variety of medical devices following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Documentation: Accurately document repair activities, including troubleshooting steps, repairs performed, and parts used, in accordance with company protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure repaired equipment meets quality standards and regulatory requirements before returning to service.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to share knowledge, problem-solve, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Systems: Gain experience in CRM software and inventory management, ordering and receiving.

Requirements:

  • Background or interest in: Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science
  • Work experience in repair shop or technical support role a plus
  • Diligent work ethic
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Familiarity using Windows Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable using handheld mechanical tools (screw driver, hammer, wrench, etc.)
  • Student will be required to appear in the office 5-days a week, with little opportunity for remote work.
  • All interns must have reliable transportation based on the expectations of the positions.
  • Interns must be committed to work M-F 8:00AM-4:00PM and committed to work the full summer (Tentatively May through August)

Pay Rate: $18 per hour

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, but not limited to; the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, location, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
