Security Officer - Armed Patrol Clearance Required

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol, Clearance Required in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-tech location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and response activities. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and represent a caring, people-first culture. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by following post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned access control procedures at a technology-focused location.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty gear in accordance with licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific instructions, including completing required armed post documentation.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, damaged property, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts, public responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on shift activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant security-related information during shift handoff and/or via established reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred, and it may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
