Job Description




As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with calm communication, quick reporting, and professional presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disruptive behavior and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or hazards to report.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and radios, and help manage visitor flow by providing directions, checking authorization when required, and/or documenting entries per site policy.
  • Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and follow-up actions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • Experience working in a hospital morgue is required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have 2+ years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
