Security Officer - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Badge Checkpoint in Greenwood, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet visitors, manage access control and/or badging, and verify credentials to support security-related site procedures. You will conduct routine patrols as assigned, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, guests, and site leaders. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen and process employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification and credentials, issuing visitor access as directed, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in points.
• Support access control operations by monitoring entry and exit points, observing for unusual activity, and communicating concerns to site leadership to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, including observation of doors, loading areas, and other access points, with working conditions that may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
