As a Security Officer - Visitor Screening Desk in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas while staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support screening operations at key access points, report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers for authorized access, helping to confirm credentials and/or required documentation prior to entry.
• Monitor access points and conduct package, parcel, and vehicle screening as required, helping to identify prohibited items and/or irregularities and report findings per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around docks, staging areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter, reporting hazards, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious activity per site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
