Job Description




As a Security Guard - Weekend Unarmed Patrol in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control procedures and communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors while delivering a welcoming customer experience. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas as assigned, assisting with directions, visitor questions, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete routine reports and log entries, communicate by radio and/or phone with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support drills or special events as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
