Summary: The Warehouse Receptionist will directly assist the warehouse office team by supporting the
front office while performing clerical tasks. This will include greeting visitors, answering phone calls, handling
customer and vendor inquires, data entry and ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
* Greet associates, vendors/contractors, drivers and other visitors with a welcoming positive impression.
* Maintain facility security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
* Answer and direct telephone calls/emails, including general voicemail/email messages for internal and
external communication with vendors and all team members within the organization.
* Provide assistance with scheduling future transportation to the warehouse to include maintaining
visibility of inbound schedules to warehouse and home office staff.
* Assist with carrier check-in, dock assignment and check-out process.
* Receive, sort and distribute daily mail
* Perform general administrative and clerical tasks, including but not limited to filing, photocopying,
scanning, data entry and internal driver logs.
* Ensure entry, reception and office area is welcoming, clean and presentable for all visitors and
associates. May include decorating the areas with holiday/seasonal decor and/or maintaining live plants.
* Order and maintain office, cleaning and first aid supplies for warehouse use.
Employment Requirements:
* High school diploma/equivalent with minimum of two years related experience.
* Prior experience in office, logistics, or warehouse setting is preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication, customer service skills, ensuring clear, professional
interactions with customers, visitors and associates, including but not limited to all levels of the
organization.
* Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage change.
* Ability to prioritize and support multiple projects efficiently with a strong attention to detail and
accuracy.
* Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) |
