Mansfield Service Partners is seeking a Equipment Technician in Aurora, CO. The Service Lube Tech is responsible for the preventative maintenance of many types of trucks and heavy construction equipment such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, and Volvo. The job includes monitoring and performing routine scheduled maintenance and greasing at our customers' locations. The types of equipment being serviced include excavators, loaders, scrapers, dozers, and on-road trucks, as well as pickups, pumps, and generators. The equipment servicing takes place in the field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining company trucks and equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance services on trucks and equipment
  • Complete preventative maintenance work orders on a wide variety of trucks and heavy equipment
  • Take oil samples and fill out related paperwork
  • Inspect equipment and report problems, including performing annual DOT inspections
  • Maintain accurate truck and equipment inspection and service logs daily and in accordance to DOT requirements.
  • Comply with all applicable DOT rules and regulation
  • Comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in regard to disposal and waste
  • Comply or exceed compliance with applicable company and OSHA regulations in regard to work practices, tool maintenance, equipment, and personal protective equipment
  • Assist in general cleanup of the shop, when necessary
  • Other duties assigned per supervisor

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The position typically requires 50+ hours per week and hours may vary depending on our customer's needs. This position also requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays as required to accommodate customer and project demands.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification

  • Class B CDL, required
  • Ability to operate a Lube truck and drive between worksites
  • 1+ years of experience as a heavy equipment oiler
  • Clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques and skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to handle stress, work independently, manage time and multitask.
  • Ability to function in a role with minimal interaction or supervision
