Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Applies both technical concepts and skills and knowledge of the company's internal policies and procedures to solve complex analysis and design problems in creative and effective ways. The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Communicates fluently with business representatives.

  • Understands business requirements and is able to relate these to the supporting system requirements producing business specifications for the work to be done.

  • Prepares initial problem definition, defines project scope and objectives, determines specific requirements to be satisfied, and designs system solutions for all levels of service requests.

  • Provides analytical support for the on-going maintenance of developed systems.

  • Responds promptly to production issues, serving an on-call rotation for the 24 hour support of the team's systems, as needed.

  • Develops test plans and scripts approved by the business to use during system testing.

  • Reviews test results with the business and make necessary adjustments to the deliverable.

  • Obtains approval from business units for project deliverables.

  • Understands and follows current Corporate Project Management standards.

  • Records time and status to appropriate projects to support activity for billing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Four to six years of experience.

  • Additional Qualifications - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.

OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The position is physically comfortable and has discretion about walking, standing, sitting, etc.

  • A person in this position normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.

  • The position requires physical presence in company office on full-time basis.

  • No adverse working or environmental conditions expected.

  • This position is an Individual Contributor.

The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

  • Springfield, MO, Albany, NY, and Omaha, NE - $92.6k - $124.3k

This is a fully in-office role.
