HDR is hiring a Project Quality Coordinator located in Omaha, Nebraska. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the implementation of the quality process across all business groups in Nebraska-Iowa Engineering.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Area Leadership (Area Manager, Professional Services Manager, and Area Quality Manager) in the implementation of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Support the Area administrative implementation of QMS with a specific focus on a consistent approach between all Business Groups (Water, Resources, Federal, Transportation, and Building Engineering Services).

  • Support the Area Quality Manager as an advocate for Quality to the Area - train and communicate to staff in a way that focuses on the value and intent of quality management.

  • Monitor the proper use, scheduling, and completion of QA and QC activities through the area use of the QMIS.

  • Support project teams in adhering to corporate quality standards and conduct quality assurance reviews.

  • Maintain project files in accordance with corporate standards and project document control systems. Tasks may include preparing, organizing, filing, and archiving documents.

  • Support project managers and project coordinators in maintaining and updating project schedules.

  • Coordinate with project managers and project coordinators in the scheduling of monthly project reviews, documenting reviews in internal software on monthly basis, and perform internal project reviews to maintain policy adherence.

  • Provide administrative support in implementing area new employee onboarding and awareness of the HDR QMS and its role in our organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Understanding of Newforma, ProjectWise Explorer and SharePoint software

  • Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of A/E industry

  • Experience working in an office environment

  • Strong preference given to local candidates

  • Ability to develop an understanding of QMS fundamentals.

  • Strong verbal and written communication with investigative interview experience.

  • Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, Adobe PDF and PowerPoint.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
