YOU

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will own the automation, reliability, and scalability of our Azure-based platforms and CI/CD pipelines. You will design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, build and operate Azure DevOps pipelines, and enable modern, secure deployment practices for cloudnative applications.

You will work closely with engineering and platform teams to improve developer experience, platform reliability, and operational efficiency through hands-on engineering and automation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of time)

Using your build expertise, you will work with development team members to develop an effective and efficient build system for cloud-native software and Microsoft Azure-based cloud solutions. You will work on creating a continuous release strategy and automating the various steps involved in deploying products to our customers (85%)

Participate in backlog refinement, daily standups, and ongoing work prioritization using the Kanban methodology as part of the team's Agile software development lifecycle. (15%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles supporting production systems in Microsoft Azure.

Azure & Platform Engineering

  • Deep, hands-on experience across the Azure ecosystem, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of Azure architecture patterns, governance, and security best practices across multiple environments.

Infrastructure as Code

  • Expert-level experience with Terraform, including modular design, remote state management, environment isolation, and enterprise-scale Azure deployments.

CI/CD & Azure DevOps

  • Advanced expertise with Azure DevOps, including YAML pipelines, service connections, environments, approvals, and agent pool management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps and TeamCity, with a focus on reliability and developer enablement.

Programming & Automation

  • Proficiency in Go (Golang) for building automation tools or platform services.
  • Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and Bash.
  • Solid experience with Git-based version control and modern branching strategies.

Release & Operations

  • Hands-on experience with modern deployment strategies such as blue/green, canary, and dark launches.
  • Experience operating highly available, scalable Azure-hosted applications.
  • Familiarity with containerized and cloud-native deployment models is a plus.

Collaboration & Professional Skills

  • Strong documentation skills for infrastructure, CI/CD standards, and platform practices.
  • Experience working in Agile or Kanban environments and collaborating across engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong ownership mindset, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Exposure to AI-driven or intelligent automation in DevOps workflows is a plus.

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 10% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Plano, Texas as a hybrid role with an expectation of working onsite three days per week.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay

$93,400 - $158,800 / year
