Material Planner

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Continually and routinely assess space requirements in warehouse
• Makes modifications to space requirements/layout accordingly, including physically moving and rearranging product, applying and modifying labels and signage.
• Liaises with buyers, planners, etc. as necessary to develop accurate PFEP that optimize sales and margin performance.
• Analyzes performance metrics, such as turns, margins, and sales to provide recommendations that identify potential opportunities to improve productivity of space.
• Develops PFEP for new racks/storage areas, etc.
• Participate in Warehouse Kaizen events related to warehouse layout and efficiency

• Strong SAP background

• Strong Microsoft excel skills
• Physical Ability -- ability to lift and move material andspend most of the day on their feet.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires minimum of eight hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.

Regularly required to lift and carry up to 35 (thirty-five) pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces.

Must have ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely, work with compressed air safely, operate fork trucks safely and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
