Receptionist - JLL

Reports to:Regional Workplace Manager

What this job involves:

The Receptionist creates exceptional first impressions at Stripe's facility, welcoming employees and visitors while providing professional front-of-house services. This role represents both JLL and Stripe, embodying the company's culture and values through every interaction. The position ensures a welcoming, secure, and well-managed reception area while supporting overall workplace operations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Welcome and greet all visitors, employees, and vendors in a professional, friendly manner
  • Manage visitor registration process using visitor management systems, issuing badges and maintaining accurate logs
  • Support workplace security protocols by monitoring visitor access and adherence to procedures
  • Notify employees of visitor arrivals and coordinate escort arrangements when required
  • Assist employees and guests with short-term luggage storage drop off and pick up
  • Respond to basic inquiries regarding building services, amenities, and local information
  • Support the coordination of meeting room bookings and conference services
  • Receive and coordinate the distribution of deliveries, packages, and courier services
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professional reception area at all times
  • Coordinate with facilities staff regarding building issues or maintenance needs observed at reception and within messaging/ticketing systems.
  • Assist with basic office services tasks including supplies and merchandise stocking and inventory management
  • Provide administrative support for workplace team as needed
  • Support special events and functions with registration and front-of-house assistance
  • Maintain updated knowledge of emergency procedures and support evacuation protocols when necessary

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in reception, guest services, or customer-facing role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with strong customer service orientation
  • Experience with visitor management systems and multi-line communication systems
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications and Google Suite
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees and visitors
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate office or technology company environments
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures
  • Background in hospitality or customer experience roles
  • Multilingual abilities (depending on location)
  • Experience with administrative support functions
  • Knowledge of facilities service request procedures
  • Background in event support or coordination
  • Experience with service management systems
  • Understanding of workplace operations and amenities
  • Training in first aid or emergency response

Working Environment

This position is based on-site at Stripe's facility, requiring physical presence during standard business hours. The Receptionist primarily works at the front desk/reception area, with limited movement to other areas of the facility for administrative tasks. The role involves extended periods of sitting or standing, regular computer use, and consistent verbal communication. The position requires consistent professional presence as the first point of contact for the facility. JLL provides opportunities for growth and development within workplace services and hospitality roles.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

50,000.00 - 70,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
