Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a contract position with a Financial Services Organization located in St. Paul, MN. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $65.00 - 75.00 per hour, W2

Summary:
Program PLANT is modernizing the existing Mainframe Loan Servicing and Loan Accounting systems for the AgriBank district. This role will be focused on delivering a cash management product responsible for moving funds between The Fed/third party institutions, and the AgriBank Farm Credit district.

Responsibilities:

• Research and capture requirements for User Stories
• QA test, as needed, in preparation for going live in Production
• Production hyper-care, bug triaging, and providing support as needed
• Conduct discovery interviews with customers, including producing artifacts such as meeting notes, and action items
• Utilize documents and documentation as primary communication mechanisms internally and with customers
• Facilitate story discussions in internal team meetings as needed
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standup, demos, etc.)
• Review and respond to functional and user test findings, evaluate and assess changes required and track associated stories and bugs.

Requirements:

• Understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially as it pertains to money movement and transactions
• Prior experience in cash management/processing, specifically in handling ACH and sight draft/check transactions, whether it be in a direct capacity or in developing cash management products
• Understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially as it pertains to money movement and transactions. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in banking or similar lending institutions.
• Prior experience as a Business Analyst
• Understanding of Agile (SCRUM), and in story writing in Agile formats
• Previously run or contributed to discovery interviews
• Experience in supporting UAT, Production support, and bug triaging
• Experience with upgrades or migrations of ERP financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Infor, SAP) strongly preferred

Desired skills:

• Experience in banking or similar lending institutions
• Experience working with a decision log
• Previous work in Financial Services or Farm Credit
• Experience with upgrades or migrations of ERP financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Infor, SAP)
