We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and detailed-oriented student intern to join our Wafer Fab Quality Assurance (QA) team.


In this intern opportunity at Skyworks, you will work on manufacturing quality and supplier quality to support the Newbury Park QA Team. You will also have an opportunity to interact with members from our quality team in Woburn, MA. Not only you will get to know how things work in industry, but you will also accumulate technical knowledge and skills and gain valuable experience. Responsibilities

  • Support quality digital transformation initiatives to accelerate automation expansion and AI integration.
  • Working with the QA Engineer to help address issues in assembly/test and offshore bumping facilities.
  • Generate non-conforming material reports (NCMR).
  • Performing routine electrostatic discharge (ESD) verification.
  • Harmonization of procedures between NBP and WOB sites.
  • Supporting process failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA) reviews.
  • Drive efficiency improvements within the QA team.
  • Support IATF 16949 activities.

Required Experience and Skills

Qualifications:



  • Currently pursuing an BS/MS student in Engineering or Science with an interest in the semiconductor industry.
  • Background or knowledge in solid state physics preferred (p-n junctions, bipolar transistors, MOS/FET/HEMT transistors, and similar).
  • Available for 3 months, during May - August 2026
  • Proficient in MS Office tools.
  • Familiar with machine learning.
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently.


The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
