  • Salary Range - $110,000 tp 160,000
  • Clearance - A successful candidate must have an active Secret clearance to be considered.
  • Location - This is a remote position.

Position Overview: Program Manager - Navy Federal Program/Must have Secret Clearance

DAWSON is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead execution of a complex Navy Federal Program. The Program Manager will be responsible for overall program execution, including technical performance, contract compliance, schedule management, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement.

This role serves as the primary interface with Government leadership and internal company management and will oversee multidisciplinary teams supporting engineering, operations, logistics, and program support activities across multiple task orders and locations. The position requires strong experience managing federal programs and working directly with Navy stakeholders in dynamic operational environments.

Program Scope:

The Program Manager will be responsible for oversight of a large, multi-task order federal program supporting our customer in engineering and logistics initiatives, including:



  • Oversight of multiple concurrent task orders supporting diverse technical and operational requirements
  • Management of multidisciplinary teams supporting engineering, logistics, RDT&E, and technical services
  • Coordination of work performed across multiple locations and operational environments, including shore-based and expeditionary support activities
  • Responsibility for maintaining contract compliance, schedule performance, and financial accountability across concurrent program efforts


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead overall program execution to ensure successful delivery of contract requirements across cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our customer, stakeholders, including Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and technical leadership.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams supporting engineering, logistics, technical services, and operational support functions.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of program management artifacts including status reports, risk registers, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements, company policies, and applicable federal regulations.
  • Monitor program financial performance including labor utilization, burn rates, subcontractor costs, and funding execution.
  • Identify and manage program risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to maintain program stability and performance.
  • Coordinate across internal departments including contracts, finance, recruiting, and operations to support successful program delivery.
  • Support business development activities including recompete strategy, proposal development, and customer engagement.
  • Foster strong relationships with Government stakeholders while maintaining open and transparent communication throughout program execution.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Program Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting federal government programs, preferably within DoD or Navy environments.
  • 10+ years of experience managing complex programs or large task orders involving technical or engineering services.
  • Proven experience in managing federal contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience managing program budgets, schedules, staffing, and subcontractors.
  • Experience working directly with Government Contracting Officers and Contracting Officer Representatives.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting environments including IDIQ and task order contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage geographically distributed teams and complex program requirements.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to analyze data and present results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment and lead strong teams through rapidly evolving, complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other teams.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to solve complex problems.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience supporting Navy engineering commands, or expeditionary warfare programs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing engineering, RDT&E, logistics, or technical services programs.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and lifecycle sustainment programs.
