Provide direction of the day-to-day operations of the division within the designated region, while coordinating with the Segment Market Leader and Segment Construction Leaders for both Planning & Development (P&D) and Construction & Manufacturing (C&M) implementing plans and policies to achieve overall Market and corporate objectives, promoting positive client relations and ensuring profitability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and implement divisional policies, procedures, and organizational structure within the boundaries established by the Segment Market Leader and corporate policy.
  • Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the market and company.
  • Plan, staff, and supervise all division activities including personnel administration, performance reviews, defining functions, responsibilities, power-to-act, and the like.
  • Provide guidance and directions to subordinate managers in identifying potential clients and desired scope of projects. Maintain an effective business development program, securing profitable work in alignment with market business strategy and corporate objective on a routine basis.
  • Confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems, authorize divisional operational procedures, and approve all major estimates.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts to facilitate positive relationships and communication.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships in order to position business for new work and to maintain the relationship through project execution
  • Maintain positive financial posture for assigned division work segments and monitor cost analysis activities on a routine basis. May manage financial aspects of division's work activities.
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the division or as directed by the Segment Market Leader

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Four-year degree plus a minimum of five years of experience in the Water & Wastewater Industry.
  • Extensive experience in the management of construction operating units.
  • Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations required.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial operations, marketing, estimating, and employee relations required.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communications, and analytical skills are necessity.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
