This is an on-site position that requires travel.

Job Overview:

Serving in the role of Owner's Representative on multiple projects of lower complexity, ensure the established visions and objectives of customer agencies are accurately captured within the scopes, schedules, and budgets of projects and that those scopes, schedules, and budgets are maintained throughout the programming, design, construction, or close-out phases of projects through oversight and guidance. Participate as the Owners representative at on-site construction meetings for projects located throughout the state

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the State's project management software to assist with keeping project information current and accessible to stakeholders.
  • Assist with the training of vendor staff related to the State's project management software.
  • Independently define a concept's comprehensive vision, objectives, and direction and effectively translate them into detailed project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Proactively manage communication channels between the owner and diverse stakeholder groups to ensure effective information flow.
  • Analyze stakeholder expectations and develop tailored strategies to ensure buy-in and alignment on complex issues.
  • Thoroughly interpret complex contract documents and implement systems to ensure comprehensive compliance with contracts and regulations.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and develop customized mitigation strategies for project-specific challenges.
  • Analyze project costs across multiple dimensions, identify significant cost-saving opportunities, and implement budget adjustments.
  • Develop and implement enhanced quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet established quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all project documents, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Lead resolution of moderately complex contract disputes through effective negotiation and develop solutions that address underlying issues.
  • Analyze project progress to identify trends, anticipate potential problems, and implement strategic corrective actions that address root causes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field of study or a minimum experience of 3 additional years of demonstrated competency in a related field.
