Job Description

Summary/objective

Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 122 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The Regional Supply Chain Manager position is a key member of the Regional team responsible primarily to ensure efficient and dimensioned operations in local supply chain activities. Works directly with personnel at all levels of the organization to support accomplishment of the organization's goals.

  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, holidays. Travel is required.
  • Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining subordinate employees, and making recommendations with regard to promotions, demotions, and other changes of status.
  • Establish and monitor all metric objectives.
  • Ensure accurate processing of the P & L and General Ledger.

  • End-to-End Network Optimization: Ensuring efficient and dimensioned operations in local supply chain activities. This involves optimizing processes related to physical logistics, planning/scheduling, materials management, and flow to deliver the best customer experience possible.
  • Inventory Management: Balancing inventory levels to meet customer service expectations while minimizing costs. Analyze data, forecast demand, and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities within the region. This includes managing relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborating with internal/external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor performance and address any supply issues working closely with Corporate Supply Chain Team and Franchise Business operating teams.
  • Cost Optimization: Identifying cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain. This involves analyzing expenses related to all operations, storage, and inventory days supply.
  • Risk Management: Mitigating risks related to supply disruptions, quality issues, or regulatory changes. Develop contingency plans and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams (such as retail, on premise, and shared services) to align supply chain strategies with overall business operating goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implementing process improvements, technology enhancements, and best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency at assigned franchises.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports, analyzing performance metrics, and presenting findings to upper management. Must have strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Leading Franchise warehouse operations teams, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

o Lead and coach Franchise Warehouse Managers to create a high performing team

  • Employs system metrics to measure regional customer service performance. Analyze data to make decisions.
  • Lead regularly scheduled calls with key customers to communicate current inventory position and evolvement of plans.
  • Oversee all CI&OP strategic planning activities across region. Manage capacity planning process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Field of Study: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or relevant field of study: Required
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience, must have at least 5 + years in in supply chain management or a related field: Required
  • Certifications & Licenses:
    • Valid driver license in state of residence with a good driving record; Required
  • Computer Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required including, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, Publisher, etc.
    • Proficient in Adobe Systems, including Adobe InDesign: Preferred
  • Other Requirements:
