Position Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, executing, managing, monitoring, controlling, reporting and close out of complex projects which may include full life cycle, staffing, or maintenance projects.

  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete the assigned project on time and within budget, to specifications, with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identifies all tasks required for the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates. Monitors and controls the project budget vs. actual, adjusting plans as required and reporting status to management.
  • Conducts risk assessment and reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for actions based on risk analysis.
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Utilize safety equipment as appropriate for the task/job. Perform tasks in the safest manner possible. Instruct personnel in the use of safety equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:



  • High School diploma, or equivalent, required. Associates degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Additionally, at least 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Project Manager capacity leading projects, understanding of project life cycle, budgeting, and scheduling. Ideally understands PMI project management phases.
  • At least two years of experience in leading or managing personnel.


Language Ability:



  • Read, analyze, and interpret business, professional, technical, or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions.


Mathematical Ability:



  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability:



  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information in an easily understood manner.
  • Able to demonstrate a broad understanding of deliverables and project interdependencies within all departments, able to grasp the scope of each project and its organizational impact.


Computer Skills:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with a project scheduling tool.



Certificates and Licenses:



  • Valid Driver's License



Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages employees while deployed on projects. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • The noise level can vary from moderate to loud.
  • While in the field, the employee is required to wear the approved uniform; see management for specific uniform choices. Employee may be required to perform work while wearing personal protective equipment to include approved hard hat, steel-toed boots, ear and eye protective equipment and approved safety vest.
  • The environment will range from remote work from an office type location to onsite work in an outdoor environment exposed to varying high or low temperatures.
  • Work may be performed at moderately high heights, up to 40 feet above the ground using bucket trucks, scissor lifts and ladders.
  • An employee will be expected to work-from-home with minimal distraction and with the occasional need to commute to an office environment or meeting location.
  • An employee will be expected to be a motivated self-starter with an ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a demanding work environment and works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
  • An employee will be expected to keep up with constant shifting of daily priorities in a dynamic environment, exhibiting adaptability with a positive attitude.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Work may be performed at moderately high heights, up to 40 feet above the ground using bucket trucks, scissor lifts and ladders.
  • The employee must be able to travel to remote US locations approximately 25% of the time.
