Your Role at Acousti

The Flooring Demolition Crew Member supports the flooring division by assisting with demolition and preparation work on flooring projects, including work performed in school facilities. This role involves moving furniture, removing flooring materials, preparing work areas, and maintaining a safe and organized jobsite. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and able to work evening or weekend shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with flooring demolition activities including scraping floors and removing existing flooring materials
  • Move furniture and other items to prepare spaces for demolition and installation work
  • Collect and dispose of debris, trash, and demolition materials
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout the duration of the project
  • Follow all company safety guidelines and jobsite procedures
  • Assist crew leaders and supervisors with general labor tasks related to flooring projects
  • Support compliance with school site access requirements and safety regulations
  • Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule

Typical Work Schedule:

Weekdays: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM

Weekends: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What We're Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, moving furniture, scraping flooring, and handling demolition materials
  • Reliable transportation to travel to job sites
  • Ability to work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as required
  • Ability to work safely and follow instructions in a team environment
  • Strong reliability and attendance

Candidates must be able to pass the Jessica Lunsford Act background screening, which allows employees to be badged and approved to work on school grounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in construction, demolition, flooring, or general labor
  • Experience working on school or government facility projects
  • Familiarity with jobsite safety practices
