Salesforce Consultant - Education Cloud

***As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain this clearance ***

Experienced professional with a strong background in delivering Education Cloud solutions, declarative development (Flows & Omni-Studio), data integrity, and data migrations. Skilled in translating client requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements to deliver a system that meets the client's expectations. Brings a detail-oriented, solutions-focused approach to implementing and optimizing Salesforce Education Cloud solutions that supports data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Salesforce Consultant - Education Cloud: $ 120-140k

Pay commensurate with experience.

Salesforce Consultant - Education Cloud Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a functional and technical consultant supporting Salesforce Education Cloud implementations, ensuring solutions align with Salesforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with education-sector clients to translate business requirements and operational needs into effective Education Cloud configurations and solutions.
  • Support solution design including data models, integrations, and declarative automation.
  • Assist with legacy data migrations from student information systems or custom education platforms into Salesforce Education Cloud.
  • Support development of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and documentation aligned with Education Cloud data standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend Salesforce-native tools to support implementation goals (e.g., OmniStudio, Marketing Cloud, Tableau).
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and architects to implement and configure Education Cloud solutions.
  • Participate in design sessions, solution reviews, and system configuration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to solution demonstrations, workshops, and client discussions as needed.
  • Stay informed on the Education Cloud roadmap and new Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Assist the project manager with solution planning and implementation timelines.
  • Support configuration of Student Management (Academic Operations) and Alumni functionality within Education Cloud.
  • Contribute to project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Salesforce Consultant - Education Cloud Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • 14 years of general work experience (Bachelor's degree not required).
  • 5+ years of Salesforce experience supporting implementations, configuration, or consulting engagements.
  • Experience implementing solutions using Salesforce Education Cloud, Experience Cloud Sites, and the Education Cloud data model.
  • Experience supporting data migration activities from legacy education systems into Salesforce.
  • Understanding of ERDs, data relationships, and custom object/field design to support education use cases.
  • Experience with OmniStudio, Flow, and declarative automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and collaborative team environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform App Builder, Advanced Administrator, or other Salesforce Consultant certifications (Education, Service, Sales, Experience Cloud) are preferred.
  • Salesforce OmniStudio Consultant or Developer certification is a plus.
  • An understanding of data migration from a legacy system to Salesforce implementations is highly preferred.
  • Maintain Salesforce certifications and be willing to assign them to Cherokee Federal; seek to earn additional Salesforce certifications.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance, if necessary.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
