What you'll do:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Minimum High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working with liquid steel on a daily basis is preferred. One (1) year experience in Bottom Pour preferred. Certification in remote crane operation is preferred. PHYSICAL: Must be clean shaven and remain without facial hair that will interfere with the surface area covered by the required N-95 respirator. This requirement is in place to comply with the OSHA Silica Standard, since Bottom Pour employees are exposed to more than the Permissible Exposure Limit set by OSHA for respirable silica dust. In order for the respirator to work properly the portion of the face must be free of facial hair or other facial features that could impede the respirators ability to properly protect the employee. TRAINING: Theoretical Steelmaking Course, 80% overall score preferred. 80 hours experience as a qualified crane operator and must satisfactorily complete the EQS Crane Training Program.
