Senior Staff Accountant - Corporate Finance Job Location

Responsibilities We have an immediate opening for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team, based in the Downtown Houston office. As a key player in the team's operations, this individual should be conscientious about their role and possess a strong "can-do" customer service attitude. The Senior Staff Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
Tax Compliance
o Review US tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local tax statues, R&D tax study and regulations by working with external tax consultants to properly interpret tax laws and regulations o Oversee international tax and compliance procedures, and ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place and documented for tax compliance for the following jurisdictions: Canada, Latin America, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand o Oversees transfer pricing process and for international subsidiaries o Reviews accounting records ensuring tax transactions are recorded accurately in financial systems o Research and implementation of tax processes, and makes appropriate recommendations from a tax perspective o Manages tax disputes and resolutions, including audits o Reviews preparation of audit work papers for external auditors related to tax compliance ** This role is a hybrid position.
