Process Engineering Co-Op - Fall 2026

The Role

Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a Process Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

Our team supplies critical materials to the ultra-high purity semiconductor market. Our technology enables the latest chip technology and its applications, including IoT, AI, machine learning and 5G. Specifically, we make products that filter and purify process chemistries used in semi processing. Demand for our products is rising rapidly and we are looking for someone who can help us meet the needs of our customers.

As part of Entegris' Manufacturing Operations team, the Process Engineer Co-Op will work closely with the production team to drive initiatives to increase output, reduce scrap and rework, eliminate waste, improve overall efficiency, and ensure quality and safety are built into processes at every step.

This position is a 1st shift fulltime position.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, lead and implement projects which improve operational efficiency to deliver savings which support corporate objectives, such as on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.

  • Maintain presence in the manufacturing area to provide sustaining manufacturing support. Resolve day to day production/process issues. Drives issues to root cause.

  • Will be area owner in assembly and work closely with operators, other engineers, R&D, NPI and quality team.

  • Improve maturity of process data and apply statistical methods to develop a deeper understanding of our process with the goal of achieving higher yields and efficiency

  • Support the development of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvement

  • Apply manufacturing best practices to drive safety, quality, reliability, and predictability into everything we do.

  • Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information, and develop and implement process solutions.

  • Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated hands on problem solving utilizing good engineering principles

  • Ability to work with a diverse team in terms of background and skill sets to achieve greater levels of efficiency and manufacturing robustness

  • Ability to manage time and balance short term needs of day-to-day production environment with long term project deliverables and timelines

  • Embodiment of a sense of ownership and passion of the process and driving improvements through creative solutions

  • Developing and helping to implement the future state of manufacturing excellence in our factory

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

  • Bachelor or Master student graduating 2027 or 2028

  • Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student

  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in June, working through December

    Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program

Compensation: $20-$32 hourly range with actual pay dependent on graduation year and candidate skillset
